This Weeks Message- (scripture taken from King James Version) PATIENCE AND PERSEVERANCE Be
patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath
long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the
coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not
one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the
door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who
have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering afflication, and of
patience. Behold, we count them happy which
endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job,
and have seen the end of the Lord : that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender
mercy. (James 5:7-11) My
brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the
trying of your FAITH worketh PATIENCE. But
let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting
nothing. (James 1:2-4) Patience
and Perseverance
are two of the most difficult things to embrace for one whose faith is being tested and
tried through the fire. It is easier to speak the words, but much more difficult to live
them and yet, in order to receive a victorious outcome of the trial, for a believer it is
the ONLY option. If we lose patience and
perseverance we forfeit the blessing and are defeated in the battle and God is not
glorified through our giving up. NO
trial is easy, but ALL are necessary for our spiritual growth. If it were easy and we were able to seek a solution
to the problem on our own, we would then have no need of our Father, and our Fathers
desire is that we have TOTAL DEPENDENCY UPON HIM for ALL things! No matter what it is we are seeking, or what
decision there is to be made, God our Father desires that we depend on HIM! From the simplicity of things to the most
difficult for even in some of the most simple matters, we need godly wisdom to make the
right decisions as we cannot see as far as the Father see.
He knows what awaits down the road as we cannot physically see that far and
must walk that road seeing through the eyes of faith.
Thus, through our trials and tribulations, we LEARN many things and the
first would be: TOTAL DEPENDENCY upon
our Father. Lets face it, there are MANY
situations, MANY desires of the heart that are absolutely impossible to bring to pass
EXCEPT the Father do it! If it were possible
for man, we would have solved the problems a long time ago, but we are limited whereas the
Father is LIMITELESS! Think of your son or
daughter, or any small child who would go to his father requesting some gift. This little child knows that it is impossible he
could purchase the gift he desires on his own for he has no money, and certainly unable to
work, therefore he goes to the ONE whom he KNOWS has the ANSWER! He goes to HIS FATHER, who has the ability to BRING
IT TO PASS! And, he goes in CONFIDENCE knowing
that what he asks of his father, he will receive. He
is not self-sufficient, nor self-dependant, but SOLEY RELIES ON HIS FATHER OR MOTHER to
solve whatever the problem may be. Now, his
father may not be able to produce instantly what the child requests, and the little one
may have to wait a while. BUT, his father
would have given the child HIS word and having his fathers PROMISE is enough for the
child to then exercise patience and
although he may not be able to physically see it yet, HE BELIEVES THAT HE WILL RECEIVE! The trust and dependency this child has towards his
parents, is the SAME TRUST and DEPENDENCY OUR FATHER desires we have towards him. Patience
and Perseverance
during tribulation also helps to strengthen our faith as during our most difficult trials
it is not then the time to reflect upon the WHY, WHAT IFS, HOW COME, etc. but it is
the time to reflect upon THE WHO! Who has the
power to work it all out for our good. WHO has
the answer that would lift the burden. WHO
will supply all our needs. WHO has healed our
sick bodies. WHO has redeemed us from the
curse of the law! WHO HAS GIVEN US ETERNAL
LIFE! This is the time we should shift our
focus on the WHO, Jesus Christ our Lord and place our sole faith and confidence in Him. If we spend precious time during our difficulties
trying to understand the why we would just be wasting valuable time and would
DELAY the answer! Consider Job, who underwent
horrific and tragic trials. He reacted in the
beginning as many of us would have, questioning the why. Why did this
happen; what have I done to deserve this; show me my sins that I may repent; why has this
been allowed; etc. The suffering became so great that he even cursed the day he was
born: Why
died I not from the womb? Why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the
belly? (Job Consider
the woman who persevered for 12 long years seeking healing in her body for continual
bleeding. Im sure that over the years
she questioned why this was happening to her, and the bible says that shed given ALL
that she had monetary to the doctors and was NO better but rather grew worse. There she was not only penniless but physically
worse and yet she would not give up! She held
on, she clung to the HOPE that she would be healed of her infirmity and her patience and
perseverance increased her faith and literally
brought her to the FEET of the ANSWER to her otherwise impossible situation. With just ONE TOUCH of the tassel of his robe FAITH
released the power of healing throughout her body. She
had 12 years to consider giving up, yet FAITH kept her holding on! When
the mind says give up, let FAITH answer My
dear brothers and sisters, whatever it is you are facing today have Patience and Perseverance and Fear
not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed for I am your God.
I will strengthen you
"Pray
for one another that ye may be healed
.. I
Love you all so very much. Have a blessed week
in the Lord and remember: Whatever we do, do ALL
for the GLORY of GOD, who ALONE is worthy of the GLORY and the PRAISE! The
Lord be with you this day and always! Shalom
Uvracha (Peace and Blessings)
