This Weeks Message- (scripture taken from King James Version) A PROMISE MADE, IS A PROMISE FULFILLED Abraham
(meaning Father of Many) has also been known through the ages as the Father of
Faith and when we examine his walk with the Lord God, we can clearly understand why. No matter what the commandment was from the Lord,
Abraham never questioned but simply responded through submission in total faith that the
Lord would fulfill whatever it was hed spoken. In these passages of scripture, God commands of Abraham one thing followed by seven (the number of completion) promises. He instructs Abraham to first: Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy Fathers house, unto a land that I will shew thee and upon heeding to this command, Abraham was given the following promises:
Without
knowing prior to the commandment of the Lord where he would be going, Abraham stepped out
in faith, turned his back on his natural fathers house, and departed taking Sarah
his wife, and Lot (his brothers son) with him. It
was only when he took that leap of faith, and responded in faith to the Lords
commandment by going forward, the Lord then directed him where he was to go, thus he and
those who were with him proceeded to the Land of Canaan.
When they reached the One can only imagine how some modern day believers would have responded to the instructions that were given to Abraham as many cannot even respond in Faith to that which is written in the Holy Scriptures but are forever seeking a sign, or needing to know the why, what and where regarding the plans of God and how these plans may affect their lives. The Lord has spoken and given instruction to the hearts of many and yet some have even question whether what was declared to them was directly from the Lord simply because it may have made no sense to the natural mind. This is where the problem starts and the questioning begins for when we try to attempt to understand the things of God with the natural mind, our efforts will fail, for the mind cannot comprehend the things of the Spirit. This is where FAITH comes in for we cannot with our human head knowledge explain away the things of God. We simply must receive it by FAITH. If the Lord had spoken the words given to Abraham to many today, the first reaction would be with some: This cant be of the Lord. Why would God demand that I leave my home and relatives? And why would he tell me to GO, without telling me where? This doesnt make sense, it cant be from the Lord. Etc. etc. I am sure that Abraham may have thought why must I leave my relatives and home? yet he STILL proceeded by FAITH forward. I am sure that he must have had some concerns as to where he was going, yet EVEN WITHOUT KNOWING he STILL proceeded by FAITH forward. Im sure in his mind none of what was commanded of him made sense, yet he was not led by his mind, but chose to walk BY FAITH. If he had any concerns at all they were not known as he STILL proceeded by FAITH forward. Nothing has changed in the area of FAITH since the days of Abraham, for even today our walk with the Lord is a walk of faith. It is not something we physically see with the natural eye, nor understand with the human mind but with the heart WE MUST BELIEVE. We will not always know every detail of Gods plan for our lives, for if we did there would be no need of faith. If we by our human ability could fulfill the plan of God for our own lives, or before acting we must have a step by step procedure that we may feel comfortable enough to move forward, then what purpose would there be to believe and where then does faith enter in? The Lord has a way of designing a plan for many that appear to the human mind as being absolutely impossible. This is done so that our faith may increase all the more and when His plan is fulfilled, NO MAN/WOMAN shall glory in His sight, but HE shall receive ALL the Glory and Praise. For He is The God that makes the impossible, POSSIBLE. If we could do it by our own power, then it is not the plan of God but the plan of man. The Lord brings to pass that which WE are incapable of doing. If he made the promise, he WILL fulfill it as ONLY HE will be able to do so. We must have the faith of Abraham, that even WITHOUT KNOWING, we STILL proceed by Faith forward. The Lord made many a promises to Abraham, and those
promises WERE INDEED fulfilled because Abraham BELIEVED God, and stepped out in
Faith. The Lord has made many a promises to
we, his children as well. He has spoken to our
hearts, delivered his promises through his messengers, and for some he has even spoken
audibly declaring his purpose and plan, but for ALL (for no child of His is without
promise) he has spoken THROUGH his Holy Written Word and every promise shall INDEED be
fulfilled
.IF WE AS ABRAHAM BELIEVE AND BEGIN TO STEP OUT IN FAITH! For a promise made, is a promise fulfilled! I
Love you all so very much. Have a blessed week
in the Lord and remember: Whatever we do, do ALL
for the GLORY of GOD, who ALONE is worthy of the GLORY and the PRAISE! The Lord be
with you this day and always! Shalom Uvracha
(Peace and Blessings) Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh,
May the peace of the Lord be with you today and always KhandieleseDaughter & Servant of the Lord God |
