This Weeks Message- (scripture taken from King James Version) "A MURDEROUS HEART" And Adam knew Eve
his wife; and she conceived, and bar Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a
tiller of the ground. And in process of time
it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought the firstlings of his
flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD
had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not
respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his
countenance fell. And the LORD said unto
Cain, why art thou wroth? And why is thy
countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt
thou not be accepted and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt
rule over him. And Cain talked with Abel his
brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel
his brother and slew him. And the LORD said
unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he
said, I know not: Am I my brothers keeper? And
he said, What has thou done? The voice of thy
brothers blood crieth unto me from the ground. Ye
have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall
kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But
I say unto you, that WHOSOEVER IS ANGRY with his brother WITHOUT A CAUSE
shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be
in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell
fire. (Matt 5:21-22) Murder begins in the Heart. The
heart of a man/woman so consumed with anger, rage, and bitterness that they strike out at
their unsuspecting victim. In the story of
Cain and Abel, brother Cain allowed his heart to be filled with jealousy, and this emotion
dictated his actions. Rather than rejoice
with his brother, and LEARN from the situation, Cain instead went with his emotions and
acted upon his jealously. His brother had
done nothing directly against him as both were only seeking to please the Lord in the
giving of their offerings. However, the
offering from Abel was well respected of the Lord and Cains was not. Cain could have learned a great lesson, had
hed taken the time to understand why his offering was less pleasing to the Lord, but
instead he reacted quickly with EMOTIONS. There are many like Cain, within the church, within the Body of
Christ, who has done as he has in having murdered his brother. For such, the weapon of choice has been the
TONGUE. Being a far more vicious,
destructive tool, and causing FAR MORE devastation than any other weapon known to man, the
human tongue, when used in the form of verbal attack, can cause major harm to
a brother or sister. We pour out from the
very same mouth blessings and curses. From
one side, we BLESS the name of the Lord, and from the other side we curse our brother. The man or woman of God, who has been CALLED by
God to deliver HIS word, because we may not like the speech, nor the
conviction it brings as it exposes the darkness that may be hidden within, we CURSE. Yet the man or woman of God, whose speech has
pleased our ears, whose message brought NO conviction in the heart drawing no
one to repentance and surrender to the Lord, for such a one, we blessed. We receive one, and reject the other. Are we not ONE in the Lord? Are we not ALL parts and members of HIS BODY? Why then is one brother deserving of a
blessing and the other a curse?
Ministries rising up against one another, speaking evil of one another in the
presence of BELIEVERS and UNBELIEVERS alike, NOT so as it were to expose a
lie, but to tear down, destroy, cause DIVISION. This should not be so, children of God. Again, are we not ALL parts and member of
HIS BODY, with Christ being the HEAD? Why
speak such evil of one another? There is MORE
gossip, slander, and hypocrisy WITHIN the church than there is outside HER DOORS! And yet, we beckon the lost to come in and
fellowship when they are NOT seeing anything different IN than OUT! This should NOT be so my brothers and
sisters. The word tells us that if you find fault in your brother, if your
brother has sinned against YOU, go and tell it to HIM. Not your friend, or your neighbor, for what do
they have to do with your dispute? What
is the ROOT of the murderous tongue? Is it
not the SAME root that was embedded in the heart of Cain, which caused him to kill his own
brother? What is the ROOT of gossip, of
slander? Is it not to simply cause division
amongst the brethren? Is the desire that the
hearer of slander, would also develop A
Murderous Heart, and like you, would separate himself from the man/woman of God
and join in this wickedness, thus murdering the heart and breaking the spirit of your
brother with vicious, unkind speech? The Lord
hates such behavior for this is not of Him as the Word of God declares: These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, SEVEN
ARE AN ABOMINIATION UNTO HIM: 1. A PROUD LOOK 2. A LYING TONGUE 3. HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT
BLOOD 4. A HEART THAT
DEVISETHAT WICKED IMAGINATIONS 5. FEET THAT BE SWIFT IN
RUNNING TO MICHIEF 6. A FALSE WITNESS THAT
SPEAKETH LIES 7. HE THAT SOWETH DISCORD
AMONG BRETHREN (Prov 6:16-19) If your brother or sister is stumbling, why are YOU not willing to lead him/her back IN LOVE but would rather push him/her further away with the ugliness your speech. Shouldnt we desire the very best for one another, all the goodness of the Lord for one another? If we SAY we love one another, let us then DEMONSTRATE this love in the building UP, and not tearing down for this is the will of our Father. Let us NOW repent of all hidden bitterness, jealousies, and anger towards one another for we are ONE in the Lord. The Lord says in his word that even those who are ANGRY with his brother, without a cause is in danger of judgment. Thus let us be careful what we ALLOW to enter into our hearts and what we ALLOW to proceed from our mouths for what we speak against one, we speak against ALL for we are ONE! Let us not murder one another with our speech, but let us build one another UP in LOVE. I love you all so very much. Have a blessed week in the Lord and remember: Whatever we do, do ALL for the GLORY of GOD, who ALONE is worthy of the GLORY and the PRAISE! May the peace of the Lord be with you today and always .
